I have out lived a lot of dogs at 66 years old but the way this bed is built I may not out live it ! ......I have owned a lot of dog beds and my new German Shorthair puppy JAGER is a real chewer but he has met his match....The Round Tuff bed is my best ever !

I purchased this bed based on the high reviews found on Amazon. Unfortunately, this did not stand-up to my Beagle's chewing prowess. In the first hour, she chewed a hole in the cover. K9 did promptly send me a replacement cover and I put that over the old one as well as sprayed the bitter spray - she still chewed through and happily pulled out the stuffing. On a more positive note, I do think the super strong velcro rather than a zipper was a smart design move.

In a day he had a hole in the cover, in a week 5 holes. Bitter apple seemed to help. Never attempted to chew the bed itself, only had interest in the cover. We got the second cover with the warranty at no charge. Going to wait until he is a little older and his teeth are not as sharp until we try the second cover. If you find yourself looking for something like this, you may not have any better options. Bad chewers will still damage the bed, but it did hold up better than anything else we tried.

Our puppy instsntly chewed a few holes in our first cover. We were quickly given a free replacement, which we placed over the first.
No new chew holes!

We have gone through 3 of the Costco round beds, My cattle dog/ Pit Bull cross loves to rip a hole in them, then pull the stuffing out. We bought one more Costco bed and covered it with the round Tuff Bed cover. So far, no chewing or bed disembowelment! My German Shepherd doesnt like the feel of the material and wont lay on it, so that would be my only complaint. Other than that, I am very pleased!

Our 9 year old Great Dane is not a chewer, just a very big girl. We chose this bed for the orthopedic comfort it could provide to her. So far, so good. She seems very comfortable and well rested. The bed is very well constructed and the cover seems quite durable. Due to her size, I wish the memory foam was a little thicker for her but we will see how it wears. Overall, currently very pleased with the bed!

Mr. Capone (2 year old English Bulldog) previously had a rectangular K9 basslistic bed and it lasted quite a while, but he was able to chew up all four corners. So far the round one is working better, and I'm doing a better job of keeping an eye on him to prevent him from attempting to chew it. He loves the comfort of his bed. We both highly recommend it!

HORRIBLE My year old 25 pound destroyed the first cover the first night she had it. We got our one free cover and they told me to use bitter pale spray to help assist. This did not work. This cover did last longer but only by 24 hours. The second cover lasted 2 nights and was torn worst than the first one. We have had many beds for her so thought this indestructible one would be the best bet, we figured $80 would be worth it. Nope, should have just given my dog $80 to eat!!!

We have 4 dogs of various sizes. They don't chew but do scratch on beds before laying down, sometimes in excess. This has torn other bed covers and shredded inner covers. The Tuff bed cover stands up to its name and to their digging and scratching . It is great and holds up well to their torture!
Dog Lover: Jane Roybal.
We had the bed embroidered and it looks great. The color, fabric and dimensions are perfect and as mentioned in the written material. The stuffing moves like a waterbed and totally shifts when I or my dog get on it. I expected fluffy but probably didn't read the ad well. It looks good but our dog doesn't lie on it.

We have two Pomeranians, one of which has chewed up every bed she's had. She is three years old now. We bought these two K9 Ballistics beds and we love them! We were very impressed to see the quality of these beds. We've only had them a few weeks, but so far, she has been unsuccessful at any try to tear them up. We feel pretty confident that these beds will last them a long time!
Dog Lover: Vicki Masters.
No bed is truly chew-proof but this is as good as it gets. This is the fourth type of bed I have tried. With lesser beds I have found my dog surrounded by piles of stuffing. My dog was able to make a small hole - but the cover was tough enough that it protected the cushion beneath - I only needed to replace the outside. Inside is very soft but holds its structure - no stuffing to move around - no dip in the middle. Cover is well made and fabric is sturdy but comfortable.
Dog Lover: Tracy Friden.
Nice bed but Cody tore the cover the first night pulling it out of his igloo. Hasn't gotten through to the new second inside cover but if we are going to be gone any length of time I take the bed away from him. He loves sleeping on it and it is a nice durable cover and much better than any bed I've had and we have gone through many! Think I will get heavy duty upholstery material and make one more cover or just buy one more :)

Well Miss Molly managed to chew a hole in less than 24 hours. I was sent a replacement cover and received it immediately. I now have the two covers on but, am waiting for the right time to reintroduce this bed into her domain. If you have seen the movie "Marley and Me", then Miss Molly is the female equivalent.

Tuff bed is nice but not tough for enough two dachshunds. First cover lasted one night. Second cover lasted three hours. They haven't gotten through both at the same time yet. They love their bed even with the holes.
Dog Lover: Ronald Bienvenu.
I found these beds four years ago when we got a chewer
He did manage to chew a hole within the first hour however a replacement cover was promptly sent out.
I did end up putting two covers on the bed which seemed to help.
His goal has always been to get to the stuffing of the object he is chewing and the extra cover did the trick.
I just ordered a replacement bed not because the first was destroyed but it had faded from being outside for 4yrs. and was just looking shabby.
Dog Lover: Chris Orr.
Sorry. My dog chewed a hole in this bed in 4 days! I don't think any bed will stop him.
Dog Lover: Lynda Mathes.
We ordered the Tuff Bed Cover and filler for our 14-month-old Doberman pup who already has destroyed several "indestructible" pet beds in his short life. Oscar pounced on the bed as soon as we opened the box and stuffed the filler into the cover, wrapped himself into a ball and stayed there in (apparent) perfect comfort all evening. So far he has made no attempt to chew or eat the bed, which is unusual for him. We have our fingers crossed.
Dog Lover: Deborah Conta.
What I like best is that dog hair and dirt does not stick to this bed at all. I also like the velcro fastening over a zipper since my dog always chews on zippers and it is one less area I need to worry about. My dog was able to chew the corner of the bed but he hasn't continued to chew and totally destroy the bed. I was immediately sent a replacement cover at no charge so overall I am very happy.
Dog Lover: Joan Trombini.
Very good bed. Quality is great! However, our long haired dachshund figured out how to fold it in half and get to the bottom Velcro seam. He got through about 6 inches of the seam and almost got to the stuffing inside. We put it up until we got another cover for it. So far he has not shown an interest in chewing on it yet--might be the bitter spray, or he might be getting out of the chewing stage. I can only hope. My two weiner dogs seem to enjoy the bed quite a bit. XLNT SERVICE!!!!!!!!

I have three labrador retreivers. I purchased new beds for them, which they love. I can not say enough positive things about these beds. I especially love the covers which repel dirt and hair.
Dog Lover: Linda Stakem.
My first bed from this company lasted my Great Dane over 16 months…a record because he would normally destroy several dog beds and a sofa or three in that period of time. I just bought a replacement, which has several great improvements including stitched-down filling to keep the stuffing in place.
Dog Lover: Karen Taylor.
LOVE the construction and materials. We generally have not had destructive setters...but, we have a young male determined to get the best of anything and everything. This bedding is holding together... (20 days and counting!)
Dog Lover: ESetters in Idaho.
I can't say enough about these K9 dog beds. I bought the crate bed several weeks ago and it was the only bed my little beagle didn't destroy. I purchased this bed for his 1st birthday so he can be comfortable outside his crate. No more fuzz and fibers all over my house. If your on the fence, just get one! You won't be disappointed.
Dog Lover: Angela.
I tried to contact K9 Ballistics before purchasing the bed; the silence was deafening. They did send the bed IMMEDIATELY once I ordered = selective hearing?
At any rate the bed is out in the dog house and has survived a week.
Dog Lover: Michael Vensky.
Like my prior orders I have been and continue to greatly appreciate everything I have ordered from K9ballistics. My wife and I are retired Navy K-9 Handlers and still have trained dogs. These beds are the best items that can be found.
Dog Lover: Scott Eldridge.
I thought my bulldog would not want to sleep in it bc it wasn't the cuddly fabric that I usually buy, and keep replacing when he tears them up. But, he's taken to the bed right away, and although I still I have the last half-destroyed bed in his sleeping place, I often find him snoozing in his k9ballistic. I'm very pleased with this purchase, very reasonably priced, free shipping, and a bed my boy likes (but not so roughly)!!
Dog Lover: Adrianne .
We bought three of the medium sized ones to put in our Igloo dog houses. They fit perfectly and the dogs love them. It is nice not to deal with rugs, shredded beds from digging, layers of different things trying to make a comfortable bed for our dogs. A couple of our dogs are getting older and it makes me feel good that they now have a comfortable bed that will remain intact. An excellent quality product and we are very pleased with them.
Dog Lover: Barbara.
This is a great product, my dog loves it and so far she has not destroyed it like all the other beds I have bought for her.
Dog Lover: Sheila.
Great customer service!!!! The best experience out there. Great products and great customer service what a combination.

Love it, the cover is perfect and the Velcro closure is brilliant!!!

Covered in gorilla tape due to my hound chewing holes from first week. Got replacement cover a month ago, put bed with old cover inside. She chewed a dime-size hole after a week, now numerous holes. BUT I know it will last a year which is 51 weeks longer than any other bed!
Dog Lover: Carol.
Got the bed a week ago to replace what the puppies ate. It took them a few days to decide that this was for them - the sound of the ballistic nylon was a surprise. So far they have not been able to eat it. We have four dogs -two 6 yr olds and two puppies- 11 & 6 months - the miscreants who shredded the previous bed. For some reason, the 6 mo old, who is house trained, peed on the bed twice. Luckily it is easy to wash and the nylon prevented the pee from soaking into the bedding - another plus!!

I have a chew proof bed and I also purchased a tough cover which I stuffed with old bedding from a demolished bed. These beds are the best I have found; they stand up to my naughty Retriever chewers. I confess, there is a small hole in one, but I patched that up without difficulty. The Labs love them. I love the durable, easy care fabric. At 3 years old, my doggie sisters are much less destructive. By the way, tons of outdoor exercise ALWAYS reduced the tendency to chew.
Dog Lover: Marguerite Mannion.
Fabulous - indestructible - washes well - our two golden retrievers haven't tried to chew it which is amazing!
Dog Lover: Peg Gilliland.
My chewer - a black and tan coonhound - destroyed several previous beds. He hasn't put a dent in these. I now have three of them. They're not cheap, but they worked for me.
Dog Lover: Michael Nagan.
Dogs enjoy laying on it.
Wish I would have bought a larger size.
Dog Lover: Heather.
In the past my pit bull Baby has not only eaten her bed, but also the beds of her other 3 pack mates. They are all large dogs and need large beds which have cost me a fortune to replace every 2 months. UNTIL I replaced them with K9 Ballistics beds. Hallelujah! The beds are now almost a year old and still in perfect shape! Thanks K9 Ballistics!!!
Dog Lover: Jana Sky.
My 8 month old German Shepherd puppy chewed a hole in the cover, the 2nd night he slept on it.
Dog Lover: Linda Alexander.
Over all the bed cover is ok. I put the bed/cover in my German Shorthairs dog house. This next morning he had made a 7 in. tear in the cover. However, he hasn't torn it up any worse and he hasn't torn up or bothered the bedding.
Dog Lover: David Pinson.
The chew-proof ballistic material with rip-stop tech avoids tears, and prevents growth if they start. It is just one more detail that makes these beds tough as nails (and tougher than teeth!)
Our Tuff bed’s industrial strength velcro closures are hidden on the underside of the mattress covers to prevent the urge to try and chew it. By using velcro we remove the danger of a plastic or metal zipper that can be an attractive place to start chewing.
We're proud to say our interior seams are double stitched and surged. This prevents snags, fraying, and damage from chewing.
Additionally we include a layer of material at the bed's corners. Corners are the first things to go when a dog decides to start chewing. By reinforcing this weak point, we greatly increase the life of the bed.
Right after corners, seams are the weak spots which dogs exploit most frequently in beds. By reducing the number of seams on a bed fewer temptations present themselves, and therefore reduce the risk of demolition!
Tightly woven synthetic fibers make this bed chew proof, and also resistant to a wide array of other damaging forces. Water, dirt, hair, and muck simply don't cling to the bed and can be easily wiped away; after wiping with a damp cloth the bed often looks as good as new!
Accidents happen, it's a fact of life; Murphey's law if you will. Having a machine washable dog bed helps clean up those accidents quickly and easily. For those messes that do not wipe away, let the machine washer do the work.
We recomend washing with cold water on a gentle cycle, and then air drying. The heat and friction of a machine dryer could shorten the lifespan of the bed, and we want our products to last as long as possible!
The extremely dense synthetic fiber weave of our Ballistic Material not only stops moisture, but also odors! Dirt, grime, and even mold spores have a tough time sticking to the bed cover, and when these elements can't stick around neither can the smell.
Dust mites cause a large number of allergic reactions for dogs. Mold and mildew spores can also trigger allergic reactions. The sythetic fibers used in this cover prohibit dust mite invasions, and make life difficult for mold spores as well. These allergens require organic fibers to build their homes, and this cover uses a 100% synthetic fiber construction. Dust mites beware!
