My two Terrier mutts loved their new beds. I also loved how easy it was to put them together!!! Finally a bed that wont be a pain to wash. The velcro is the best idea ever. I like the fact that they are water proof too.

I have a dog who is definitely a heavy chewer. After going through every bed on the market, none of them lasted more than about 3 months. Then I found K9 Ballistics. My first bed from K9 lasted over a year and I just purchased my second Tuff Bed from them. Love these products.
Dog Lover: Michael.
Had 2 beds for 8 days. No signs of any chewing and the Boston Terriers love them!
Dog Lover: Kim.
These covers are great! My crazy dogs were able to bite a small tear in the first set but then we got our replacement covers immediately and they have not bothered since! It must be so difficult to rip they just don't want to bother anymore because they usually take great pride in their ability to destroy! Very happy with these beds and will always use them in the future! Thank you K9 Ballistic!

It took only two days for my dog to flip the bed over dig through the velcro seam and rip the cushion to pieces. A backup zipper under the velcro would be nice.

My 6 months year old Doberman Pinscher would not get near his round tuff bed with the bed cover. He found it so unattractive that he would barely give smell it, much less use it. Without the cover, the tuff bed is of course useless as a Doberman Pinscher will destroy it in five minutes. Worst of all I could not return the bed only the cover which ended up a loss of postage plus the cost of the bed.
Dog Lover: Jennifer Hunt.
I was hopeful that this was the one thing that Mia wouldn't be able to chew through…..wrong! In two days she chewed a hole right in the middle of it! I have taken a picture of said hole with said culprit (Mia the mini dachshund) and will be sending it in for my one time replacement :)
Dog Lover: Cherrie Lucas.
My dod isn't an incessant chewer and will go months without chewing up his bed, which is a very gradual process for him. He didn't really seemed thrilled with his new bed as it was not soft and cuddly, but quite stiff. He eventually started to go on it and on the third day he had chewed a hole on the top seam. I spoke to the office today and sent them a photo of the damage and they said that they would send out another cover. I don't have high hopes. Canine Crazy, Julie B

I've only had the cover for two weeks but so far it seems to be everything you say. I would recommend this cover to others.
Dog Lover: James Trotta.
Our 5-month old Boston Terrier LOVES his new Round Tuff Bed! He tosses it, digs in it, sleeps on it (and occasionally pees on it) and it comes back for more. In the three months we've had Hugh he's destroyed about a bed a month. But the K9 Ballistic's bed is holding up admirably. Money well spent.
Dog Lover: Jill.
I'VE GOT THE BEST PARENTS IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD! I'VE GOT TWO BALLISTIC BEDS THAT I JUST LOVE. I LIKE TO SUCK ON BLANKETS AND SOFT THINGS AND NOW I EVEN GET TO SUCK ON MY NEW BED WITHOUT DESTROYING IT. YEAH. SIMPLE THINGS MAKE ME SOOOO HAPPY. HAVE A HAPPY DAY FROM 8 YEAR OLD CALVIN
Dog Lover: CALVIN.
So my dobe Murphy has eaten a few beds before this one. Well this was slightly different.he ate a hole...not Murphy proof. But when I get the new cover ill put it over the old one and it may last a few weeks. Great quality great company. Very impressed.
Dog Lover: Carol .
I had high hopes for these , but my doxie chewed a small hole through in the second week. He also has loosened a seam area on the back.
Dog Lover: Susanne.
We bought dozens of beds for our three WMDs (Weapons of Mattress Destruction) and it usually takes a few days for the beds to be trashed. The dogs were able to get through the first set of K9 Ballistic beds, but using the old covers inside their cheerfully replaced new beds has made for a durable combination. These beds are awesome, and they stand behind their product! Thank you!
Dog Lover: David Reich.
We have had the bed for almost 2 weeks and it is still in perfect condition. I have a 7lbs Pomeranian and a 65lbs PitBull. In the past they "tag teamed" dog beds and I have had some that did not last 1 hour.
I am more than pleased and have been recommended K-9 Beds
Dog Lover: Grant.
Good product and excellent service. Our dog (a master of destruction--has destroyed 20+ Costco beds) did destroy the first cover within two weeks (a record for durability!) and K9 cheerfully replaced including the monogramming, no questions asked. We are holding steady on the second cover. I think this is as good as it gets, unless we give him a cement block to sleep on. We appreciate the great customer service.
Dog Lover: Maureen.
Our loving golden is the best dog ever, but gets it in his furry brain to chew he bed occasionally. The bed held up for more than 3 months, then he really went at it, and managed a couple holes.
The cover was cheerfully replaced. We soaked it in vinegar first. So far so good.
It's a pretty good product, but more importantly they stand behind the product.
Dog Lover: Richard.
I have out lived a lot of dogs at 66 years old but the way this bed is built I may not out live it ! ......I have owned a lot of dog beds and my new German Shorthair puppy JAGER is a real chewer but he has met his match....The Round Tuff bed is my best ever !
Dog Lover: Keith Gaines.
I purchased this bed based on the high reviews found on Amazon. Unfortunately, this did not stand-up to my Beagle's chewing prowess. In the first hour, she chewed a hole in the cover. K9 did promptly send me a replacement cover and I put that over the old one as well as sprayed the bitter spray - she still chewed through and happily pulled out the stuffing. On a more positive note, I do think the super strong velcro rather than a zipper was a smart design move.
Dog Lover: Gail Nishimura.
In a day he had a hole in the cover, in a week 5 holes. Bitter apple seemed to help. Never attempted to chew the bed itself, only had interest in the cover. We got the second cover with the warranty at no charge. Going to wait until he is a little older and his teeth are not as sharp until we try the second cover. If you find yourself looking for something like this, you may not have any better options. Bad chewers will still damage the bed, but it did hold up better than anything else we tried.

Our puppy instsntly chewed a few holes in our first cover. We were quickly given a free replacement, which we placed over the first.
No new chew holes!
Dog Lover: Nanette.
We have gone through 3 of the Costco round beds, My cattle dog/ Pit Bull cross loves to rip a hole in them, then pull the stuffing out. We bought one more Costco bed and covered it with the round Tuff Bed cover. So far, no chewing or bed disembowelment! My German Shepherd doesnt like the feel of the material and wont lay on it, so that would be my only complaint. Other than that, I am very pleased!
Dog Lover: Tamara Meyers.
I know nothing is chew proof. I know that with time my dogs will probably chew through any bed. I also know my dogs took almost 3 weeks to get through their previous cheapo bed. It took one of them less than an hour to chew a silver dollar sized hole in the side. Really?! The fabric isn't all that durable and the rip-stop material didn't appear to help stop the spread of the hole.
The customer service was good but, it doesn't matter when the product oversells itself.
Dog Lover: PJ.
Our 9 year old Great Dane is not a chewer, just a very big girl. We chose this bed for the orthopedic comfort it could provide to her. So far, so good. She seems very comfortable and well rested. The bed is very well constructed and the cover seems quite durable. Due to her size, I wish the memory foam was a little thicker for her but we will see how it wears. Overall, currently very pleased with the bed!
Dog Lover: Waite Family.
Mr. Capone (2 year old English Bulldog) previously had a rectangular K9 basslistic bed and it lasted quite a while, but he was able to chew up all four corners. So far the round one is working better, and I'm doing a better job of keeping an eye on him to prevent him from attempting to chew it. He loves the comfort of his bed. We both highly recommend it!
Dog Lover: John.
HORRIBLE My year old 25 pound destroyed the first cover the first night she had it. We got our one free cover and they told me to use bitter pale spray to help assist. This did not work. This cover did last longer but only by 24 hours. The second cover lasted 2 nights and was torn worst than the first one. We have had many beds for her so thought this indestructible one would be the best bet, we figured $80 would be worth it. Nope, should have just given my dog $80 to eat!!!
Dog Lover: Adam Feldman.
We have 4 dogs of various sizes. They don't chew but do scratch on beds before laying down, sometimes in excess. This has torn other bed covers and shredded inner covers. The Tuff bed cover stands up to its name and to their digging and scratching . It is great and holds up well to their torture!
Dog Lover: Jane Roybal.
We had the bed embroidered and it looks great. The color, fabric and dimensions are perfect and as mentioned in the written material. The stuffing moves like a waterbed and totally shifts when I or my dog get on it. I expected fluffy but probably didn't read the ad well. It looks good but our dog doesn't lie on it.
Dog Lover: Susan.
We have two Pomeranians, one of which has chewed up every bed she's had. She is three years old now. We bought these two K9 Ballistics beds and we love them! We were very impressed to see the quality of these beds. We've only had them a few weeks, but so far, she has been unsuccessful at any try to tear them up. We feel pretty confident that these beds will last them a long time!
Dog Lover: Vicki Masters.
No bed is truly chew-proof but this is as good as it gets. This is the fourth type of bed I have tried. With lesser beds I have found my dog surrounded by piles of stuffing. My dog was able to make a small hole - but the cover was tough enough that it protected the cushion beneath - I only needed to replace the outside. Inside is very soft but holds its structure - no stuffing to move around - no dip in the middle. Cover is well made and fabric is sturdy but comfortable.
Dog Lover: Tracy Friden.
Nice bed but Cody tore the cover the first night pulling it out of his igloo. Hasn't gotten through to the new second inside cover but if we are going to be gone any length of time I take the bed away from him. He loves sleeping on it and it is a nice durable cover and much better than any bed I've had and we have gone through many! Think I will get heavy duty upholstery material and make one more cover or just buy one more :)
Dog Lover: Jan Cole.
Well Miss Molly managed to chew a hole in less than 24 hours. I was sent a replacement cover and received it immediately. I now have the two covers on but, am waiting for the right time to reintroduce this bed into her domain. If you have seen the movie "Marley and Me", then Miss Molly is the female equivalent.
Dog Lover: elsa carbone.
Tuff bed is nice but not tough for enough two dachshunds. First cover lasted one night. Second cover lasted three hours. They haven't gotten through both at the same time yet. They love their bed even with the holes.
Dog Lover: Ronald Bienvenu.
I found these beds four years ago when we got a chewer
He did manage to chew a hole within the first hour however a replacement cover was promptly sent out.
I did end up putting two covers on the bed which seemed to help.
His goal has always been to get to the stuffing of the object he is chewing and the extra cover did the trick.
I just ordered a replacement bed not because the first was destroyed but it had faded from being outside for 4yrs. and was just looking shabby.
Dog Lover: Chris Orr.
Sorry. My dog chewed a hole in this bed in 4 days! I don't think any bed will stop him.
Dog Lover: Lynda Mathes.
We ordered the Tuff Bed Cover and filler for our 14-month-old Doberman pup who already has destroyed several "indestructible" pet beds in his short life. Oscar pounced on the bed as soon as we opened the box and stuffed the filler into the cover, wrapped himself into a ball and stayed there in (apparent) perfect comfort all evening. So far he has made no attempt to chew or eat the bed, which is unusual for him. We have our fingers crossed.
Dog Lover: Deborah Conta.
What I like best is that dog hair and dirt does not stick to this bed at all. I also like the velcro fastening over a zipper since my dog always chews on zippers and it is one less area I need to worry about. My dog was able to chew the corner of the bed but he hasn't continued to chew and totally destroy the bed. I was immediately sent a replacement cover at no charge so overall I am very happy.
Dog Lover: Joan Trombini.
Very good bed. Quality is great! However, our long haired dachshund figured out how to fold it in half and get to the bottom Velcro seam. He got through about 6 inches of the seam and almost got to the stuffing inside. We put it up until we got another cover for it. So far he has not shown an interest in chewing on it yet--might be the bitter spray, or he might be getting out of the chewing stage. I can only hope. My two weiner dogs seem to enjoy the bed quite a bit. XLNT SERVICE!!!!!!!!
Dog Lover: Darrell Carter.
I have three labrador retreivers. I purchased new beds for them, which they love. I can not say enough positive things about these beds. I especially love the covers which repel dirt and hair.

The chew-proof ballistic material with rip-stop tech avoids tears, and prevents growth if they start. It is just one more detail that makes these beds tough as nails (and tougher than teeth!)
Our Tuff bed’s industrial strength velcro closures are hidden on the underside of the mattress covers to prevent the urge to try and chew it. By using velcro we remove the danger of a plastic or metal zipper that can be an attractive place to start chewing.
We're proud to say our interior seams are double stitched and surged. This prevents snags, fraying, and damage from chewing.
Additionally we include a layer of material at the bed's corners. Corners are the first things to go when a dog decides to start chewing. By reinforcing this weak point, we greatly increase the life of the bed.
Right after corners, seams are the weak spots which dogs exploit most frequently in beds. By reducing the number of seams on a bed fewer temptations present themselves, and therefore reduce the risk of demolition!
Tightly woven synthetic fibers make this bed chew proof, and also resistant to a wide array of other damaging forces. Water, dirt, hair, and muck simply don't cling to the bed and can be easily wiped away; after wiping with a damp cloth the bed often looks as good as new!
Accidents happen, it's a fact of life; Murphey's law if you will. Having a machine washable dog bed helps clean up those accidents quickly and easily. For those messes that do not wipe away, let the machine washer do the work.
We recomend washing with cold water on a gentle cycle, and then air drying. The heat and friction of a machine dryer could shorten the lifespan of the bed, and we want our products to last as long as possible!
The extremely dense synthetic fiber weave of our Ballistic Material not only stops moisture, but also odors! Dirt, grime, and even mold spores have a tough time sticking to the bed cover, and when these elements can't stick around neither can the smell.
Dust mites cause a large number of allergic reactions for dogs. Mold and mildew spores can also trigger allergic reactions. The sythetic fibers used in this cover prohibit dust mite invasions, and make life difficult for mold spores as well. These allergens require organic fibers to build their homes, and this cover uses a 100% synthetic fiber construction. Dust mites beware!
